HIV-1/2 prevalence among patients attending the Accident and Emergency Clinic in Southwest Nigeria.

The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) pandemic is without a doubt one of the most significant public health disasters our day. It complex mashup various epidemics that have spread inside and between different nations areas world. Patients, who had retroviral screening in Accident Emergency Department University College Hospital, Ibadan, were included this retrospective analysis. In total, 2,321 patients screened over course year, 83 (3.6%) those positive HIV-1/2 quick diagnostic test results using Determine HIV-1/2, Uni-Gold Stak-pak rapid kits. A total 1,248 (53.8%) males 1,073 (46.2%) females tested values for men women, respectively, 42 (50.6%) 41 (49.4%) (P = 0.921).
